Latest Update

Posted by Riley Balecke on 12 August 2021

We hope you are all enjoying the summer holidays and dodging the rain!  Although being swimmers you enjoy getting wet so this shouldn’t spoil your fun.

We thought we would update you on some changes to the restrictions and also some of our plans for the coming months.

Swimming an extra development session – we are no-longer required to keep our swimmers in bubbles of 8 so we can now open up our sessions to more swimmers and also allow you to swim in multiple sessions.  So if you want to come along to both the Saturday and Thursday sessions you can.  We have the old door register back in place so just sign in and see the coaching team on poolside and they will put you into the best lane for your ability.  If you are not sure about doing this just speak to your coach at the next session and they will help you decide.  Parents don’t forget to update your standing order to cover the additional swim.  Fee structure is shown below.

More Pool Time – Over the next couple of months we will start to extend our swim sessions and also introduce  some swim time back on a Monday so keep an eye out for emails when this is launched

Teach to Swim – at last we have some good news for our Teach to swim members.  We have an agreement with the Blue pool to re-start width sessions.  We therefore want to allocate some of the additional swim time we have been offered to these members.  However, we are not able to have the exact same times/days that we had before so we plan to send out a questionnaire to see what days and time slots will suit our younger swimmers and priorities them with this extra swim time as they are the ones that have been effected most during lockdown.  Please keep an eye out for this survey and give us as much feedback as you can so that we can get these sessions back as quickly as possible.

Fees -  With all the changes we have had to cope with during our lock down period we felt it a good idea to list out or fees as it has been a very confusing time of late.

One Swim per week & Teach to Swim                     £24/month

Two or three swims per week                                    £36/month

Non-active members                                                     £3.50/month to cover ASA fees then £7.00 per swim payable on the door.  Please have the exact money as change is not always available

Open Meets – for our competitive swimmers we are starting to look at entering open meets again so please keep an eye on your emails as we will be sending out details as soon as we find one that we would like to promote to the club.

Changing Rooms – we are now able to use these again so if you didn’t come back before as going home in your swimming kit wasn’t for you, you can now change after swimming as you did before keeping as socially distanced as possible.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and we look forward to seeing you all at the pool soon
