MASC Summer Break
Posted by Simon Lawrence on 21 July 2025
Hi Everyone,
We hope you are all looking forward to the summer holidays to come. We thought we would update you before school breaks up for the summer.
The club is made up entirely of volunteers, whether swim teachers, committee members or officials. Given that many of us are present each week and give up our time for free, the committee has taken the decision to have a short break every year for committee members and teachers, for a well-earned rest. Over this two-week period, the pool will be open to MASC members as normal. However, no teaching or coaching will take place. Lanes ropes will not be in the water on Thursdays and MASC swimmers will be able to enjoy a fun session, subject to the pool's capacity limits. As many families are away over the period concerned, there is unlikely to be a capacity issue. Parents/guardians can also swim with younger children should they wish to.
The learner pool will only be open on Thursdays from 6.00pm - 7.00pm for any stage 1 swimmers and their families to use.
Please abide by the following Campus rules.
- One adult can be in charge of up to 2 children in the main pool.
- Anyone under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
The dates are as follows:
Tuesday 29th July 2025 (Lane Swimming only) 8.30pm - 10.00pm
Thursday 31st July 2025 6.00pm - 9.00pm (no lane ropes)
Tuesday 5th August 2025 (Lane Swimming only) 8.30pm - 10.00pm
Thursday 7th August 2025 6.00pm - 9.00pm (no lane ropes)
For the remainder of August (and subsequently), teaching/coaching will resume as normal.
Kind regards
MASC Committee
